Initial evaluations are an important step in understanding a child’s unique developmental profile and identifying how best to support their participation in everyday life.
This comprehensive evaluation includes a caregiver interview, clinical observation of the child through play and structured activities, and the use of standardized assessment tools. Following the session, families receive a written report with results outlining key observations and recommendations.
A follow-up conversation is included to review the findings together and discuss supportive strategies that align with caregiver priorities and the child’s individual strengths and needs.
Recommendations may include strategies for home, school, and daily routines, as well as guidance on whether ongoing developmental support services may be helpful.
These meetings support collaboration between caregivers, educators, and other professionals involved in a child’s development.
Sessions may include reviewing observations, discussing strategies to support participation in home or school environments, and aligning on approaches that help the child feel successful and supported across settings.
Consultations may be conducted with caregivers alone or together with members of the child’s educational or support team.
Virtual sessions provide direct developmental support through interactive activities designed to support regulation, motor coordination, attention, and participation in daily routines. Sessions may include guided activities with the child, caregiver collaboration, and practical strategies that can be used at home, school or community environments.
